Our Own... National Piano Trio
Our Chamber Ensemble in Residence
Corey Gemmell (violin), Wolf Tormann (cello) and Sandra Mogensen (piano) have played together countless times over the past 7 years at NMC faculty concerts. They realized they shared a common vision and passion for the piano trio repertoire and in 2010, officially formed the National Piano Trio under the auspices of NMC. They love bringing young musicians into the extraordinary world of chamber music.
Their performances have variously been described as ‘electric”, “passionate”, and filled with “a common sense of drive and purpose”. As resident chamber ensemble of NMC, the National Piano Trio has a great interest in coaching and bringing young players into the exciting world of chamber music.
The trio’s members are highly acclaimed and accomplished soloists and chamber musicians individually.
