Whether you are a private studio or school music teacher, sending your campers to NMC is good for everyone— your student, your studio, your school programme.

Immersion

Campers are involved in music-making for 4-5 hours or more (see Programmes for typical timetables) and they hear a professional concert every night. They are living and playing with kids just like them who love music. Not only that, but their music staff cabin counsellors are terrific role models— many of them have been campers at NMC and they have all made music a big part of their life. 

Because we offer a variety of programmes—from Band and Orchestra to Music Theatre, Guitar and Jazz— and campers from all programmes are in their cabins, they get to meet other kids with different backgrounds and interests. The cool thing about camp is that everyone is there for music and friendship. 

Boost the Energy Level of Your Programme

Campers leave NMC inspired and enthusiastic. They come back to your studio or school pumped and ready to share what they've learned. You may find that your students are more prepared to take on leadership roles in your programme. If they are already leaders you will notice increased confidence and competence.

We hear from teachers who say that when kids come back from camp, they can't stop talking about it.... for months! Simply because of the immersion in music, and the lack of distractions, they absorb more in their week at camp than is possible at school with all the other activities.

We Can Accommodate All Levels

NMC is for everyone. We place campers in a group that meets their level and then challenges them to grow.

Scholarships

We know that not everyone can afford camp. We really want to help kids get to camp who would benefit from the social and musical growth camp provides but whose family simply don't have the funds. 

This is why we have several kinds of scholarship. Check out our Scholarships page for more information and application forms. We try to find ways to help.
