Orchestra at Senior Division

Sunday afternoon....placement hearings.

Monday morning....Symphony Orchestra. Maybe for the very first time! At first glance, you may wonder if you can handle the part. And then, by the end of the week, after four hours rehearsal a day, and maybe a little practice on the side... you can. Our faculty specialists and staff help make it happen.

The Symphony Orchestra brings together our string players and some of the best wind, brass and percussion campers to work on outstanding orchestral repertoire.

In addition to two hours of full rehearsal, with Michael Lyons, campers participate in:

  • an hour of group lessons with a faculty specialist
  • an hour of sectional work
  • camp-wide chorus with Sharon Fitzsimmins

And there's more to the day!

  • two recreation hours
  • nightly professional concert
  • evening programme
