Band & Orchestra - Junior & Senior Camp
Woodwind, brass, percussion and string students work in concert band and string orchestra settings and receive small group instruction on their instruments. Many students will have the opportunity to perform in small ensembles and perform for their peers at the end of camp.
At Junior Camp we also run a camp wide chorus and provide theory, rhythm or composition classes as part of an elective program.
Students at Senior camp have a minimum of five hours of classes and also choose from a wide range of electives, both sports and music.
The full-time resident fauclty are extraordinary teaching musicians- freelance, private, school and university teachers- who are committed to the success of the campers. Campers are treated to a concert every night featuring solo, small and large ensembles of these professional musicians. Imagine being up close and personal for a live concert every night and then working with the performers during the day!
