Junior Jazz - Junior Camp Only
This program, based on our highly successful and popular Senior Camp Jazz program, is designed for Grade 4-8 campers with a minimum of one year's playing experience on their instrument. Keyboard players need at least RCM Grade 6 level playing to apply.
Campers participate in a big band, group lessons and sectionals, developing their fundamental playing skills. Their elective program focuses on improvisation and listening skills.
There is mandatory rental program from all rhythm campers (bass, guitar, keyboard and drums.) This covers the cost of renting drumsets, keyboards, amps, microphones and sound equipment. Drum campers should bring sticks. Guitar and bass campers should bring their instrument, strap and patch cord.
There is a limit on numbers in each instrument. This allows campers to get the most out of the big band experience.
