Sami grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she began dance lessons at the tender age of three. She spent her days studying dance and voice, which lead to many years of competitions; earning the highest medals, awards, and scholarships. She had the privilege of participating on Team Canada in the World Hip Hop championships in Bremen, Germany in 2007, which was the first time Canada had a team represent them in the competition. The following year she returned to Germany at the World Tap Championships as part of the Tap Team, where her group proudly won Canada the Bronze medal.
Sami is a graduate of The Randolph College for the Performing Arts. She originated the role Peppa-Mint Shoppie on the first ever tour of Shopkins Live! which toured through The United States. Select favourite theatre credits include: Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Electric Blues Singer in Hair, Phantom in The Rocky Horror Show, and Mimi in Rent- which earned her 2 Broadway World nominations.
Learning is ongoing and crucial in any art. Sami continues to train, see shows, take class, and participate in workshops with some of the world’s best to stay sharp as a performer and a leader.
