
Ashly Mastromonaco is a highly qualified music educator and orchestra director with over 15 years of experience. She holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Throughout her career, Ashly has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering musical talent in students across various age groups, from elementary to pre-college levels. Her extensive teaching experience includes roles at The Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, Woodland Middle School in Nashville and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she directed the Nashville Repertory Orchestra.
Ashly’s leadership extends beyond the classroom as she has been actively involved in various professional organizations, such as the Ontario Music Educators Association and the Tennessee Music Education Association. She has also served as the president of the Williamson County Orchestra Director’s Association. Ashly’s dedication to music education is further exemplified by her roles as adjunct professor at SUNY Fredonia where she equipped non-string majors with the tools to be a successful educator in an orchestra classroom and as a mentor for first-year string teachers. Ashly has also served as a guest conductor for the NCMEA Junior High Orchestra and as an adjudicator and director at the Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival in Ontario. Her comprehensive approach to music education includes directing orchestras, choirs and ensembles, as well as teaching individual and group lessons, all while maintaining a focus on individual student growth and excellence in performance.
