National Music Camp has been making beautiful music on the sunny shores of Lake Couchiching since 1965. Created by Harold Nashman and Bob Head, this visionary program provided a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young musicians to learn, grow and flourish. We have always said that campers learn the equivalent of six months or more of music lessons in just one week at camp due the the unique atmosphere and wonderful instruction from our fabulous faculty. I was very lucky to have grown up at this camp and even more privileged to direct it for over 35 years. Seeing the joy of accomplishment on the faces of young music students and watching world class musicians perform at nightly concerts are memories I will always cherish. National Music Camp is a very special and unique experience for children and young adults and I am very proud of what we stand for and accomplish every summer. Thank you to the amazing NMC community for their support, love and devotion throughout the years!
