Katy is very excited to join the talented Musical Theatre faculty in the role of Director at NMC this summer! She has worked with kids in theatre for most of her life. Growing up performing in a young company she quickly transitioned to directing/choreography, and any other role anyone would let her do. She is extremely passionate about fostering talent and passion in young performers, and helping them to realize their potential as actors and artists. Past directorial credits include Glee Club Confidential, Viscount Victor, Munsch Tales, and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (SFT Young Company), she also ran the Theatre Summer Camp program for four years (SFT) and ran multiple choreography workshops for other camps around the city. Though Katy loves to be behind the scenes, she has also spent a lot of her time on stage herself. Select acting credits include the Canadian premier of Eve Ensler’s Emotional Creature (VDAY Toronto, Nightwood Theatre), Legally Blonde (SFT), Anne of Green Gables (BTG), A Little Night Music (RCPA). Let’s get silly and have fun!
