Rob Weymouth

Robert Weymouth is a leading voice among Canadian trumpet players. He is currently the Principal Trumpet of the Canadian Opera Company and the Second Trumpet of the National Ballet Orchestra. Robert has played with many other orchestras including tours and performances with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the National Arts Center Orchestra, as well as many other orchestras across Canada. He also performs as solo cornet with the Hannaford Street Silver Band and is a member of the Canadian National Brass Project and the Toronto Brass Quintet.

Robert is an in demand soloist having recently performed with the Hannaford Street Silver Band, the Niagara music festival and the Hannaford Youth Band. As a soloist Mr. Weymouth has won first prize at both Provincial and National levels.

Mr. Weymouth completed his studies at the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Andrew McCandless and Barton Woomert. He also studied as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the Hannaford Youth Band. Robert maintains an active teaching studio and regularly presents clinics and masterclasses to all ages and levels.

Camp Wahanowin has been proud to host National Music Camp since 1965!  Located on the shores of Lake Couchiching, only an hour and a half  from Toronto, it offers the best facilities and programs.
