Bob Kubica

Born in 1964 in Ottawa, Robert (Bob) graduated from the University of Western Ontario where he was a student of Alan Torok and the recipient of the University Gold Medal for Performance in 1989. Following graduation, he continued his studies in the Czech Republic with Stepan Rak of the Prague Academy of Fine Arts. 

He obtained his Master’s degree in guitar performance from the University of Toronto, where he was a student of Norbert Kraft.

He has participated in master classes with many outstanding teachers and performers such as David Russel, Vladimir Mikulka, and Alice Artzt.

Robert currently teaches music at Laurier Secondary School in London and on the faculty at the Universtiy of Western Ontario.

He released a delightful CD in 2012: The Greenwood Gone. It features his own arrangements of Celtic and Elizabethan tunes.

Camp Wahanowin has been proud to host National Music Camp since 1965!  Located on the shores of Lake Couchiching, only an hour and a half  from Toronto, it offers the best facilities and programs.
